Official: AC Milan announce departure of Plizzari on a six-month loan to Lecce

By Isak Möller -

There might not be a lot of movement on the incoming front, but there have been some departures this month. Alessandro Plizzari is the latest player to leave AC Milan, albeit on a temporary basis.

Earlier this evening, AZ Alkmaar announced the permanent signing of Milos Kerkez from Milan, which you can read about here. As said, Plizzari is the latest player to leave as he will join Lecce on a six-month loan.

This was announced by Milan on their website just a few minutes ago (at the time of writing). The young goalkeeper hasn’t made any appearances for the first team this season and he has also struggled with an injury.

“AC Milan can confirm that Alessandro Plizzari has joined US Lecce on loan until 30 June 2022. The Club would like to wish Alessandro all the best for the remainder of the season,” the statement read.

Hopefully, Plizzari can get some playing time under his belt at Lecce and come back as a stronger player. His potential has been a talking point for many years now and the Rossoneri believe in him, but now he needs to shine.
