MN: Probable Milan XI for Benevento clash – Duo returns; Diaz gets the nod

By Isak Möller -

The first game of the year will take place tomorrow, with Milan taking on Benevento away from home at 18:00. For Stefano Pioli’s men, it’s yet another opportunity to show their strength at the top of the standings.

The manager, as reported by MilanNews, is expected to make four changes to the starting XI that played against Lazio. At the back, Theo Hernandez is serving a one-game ban and will thus be replaced by Man Utd loanee Diogo Dalot.

Furthermore, Simon Kjaer is back from his injury and will partner up with Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of the defence. In midfield, Franck Kessie will partner up with Sandro Tonali after serving a suspension against Lazio.

The big duel was between Brahim Diaz and Castillejo, but it seems the former has won that race. Castillejo has struggled with a minor injury but was called up for the game, though evidently not 100% ready to take the field.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Dalot; Tonali, Kessie; Diaz, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Leao.
