MN: Rebic apologised to Pioli and Milan teammates for red card vs. Juve

AC Milan failed to secure a spot in the Coppa Italia final last night, getting knocked out by Juventus on away goals. As the first leg ended 1-1, the Rossoneri needed to get on the scoresheet but couldn’t do so.

According to MilanNews.it, Ante Rebic apologised to Stefano Pioli and his teammates for yesterday’s sending off against Juventus. The striker admitted his mistake in a confrontation with the manager and then in front of his teammates.

Certainly, the red card turned the Rossoneri’s gameplan upside down, but it won’t affect Rebic’s spot in the starting eleven moving forward. He has been a key player for the team since the start of the year and will want to get revenge.

The Croatian was reportedly upset with himself and sorry for the situation in the locker room, meaning he didn’t take his mistake lightly. Hopefully, he will bounce back with a goal against Lecce in just over one week’s time.
