GdS: Talks underway over renewal of three Milan stars – Maldini wants to keep €28m Chelsea man

AC Milan are beginning to plan for next season with directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara observing the right moves to make, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan’s goal was and remains a top four finish, but the decline in recent weeks has brought everyone back down to earth, and they are targeting three new signings to build around a core of 12 players.

The paper adds though that before thinking about possible reinforcements, the management know that they must close the renewals of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Hakan Calhanoglu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic – all of whom are due to expire on June 30th. Manoeuvres regarding the extensions of all three are underway.

Meanwhile, Maldini and Massara are also reflecting on the possibility of redeeming Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea, who would cost a fee of €28m but the Englishman is convincing everyone and therefore his stay is not so impossible.
