MN: Youngster on standby after Kessie’s injury but loan move remains likely

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s injury has forced Milan to reflect on the current depth situation in midfield, with just Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali available. Despite this, Tommaso Pobega should leave the club on loan still.

According to MilanNews, the youngster’s future has been put on hold as a result of Kessie’s injury, which is understandable. However, the loan negotiations will continue and a move thus remains likely for Pobega.

Cagliari are very interested and are pushing for the move after failing to sign Radja Nainggolan. Given that he would get a good amount of playing time there, it would probably be wise by Milan to send him out on loan again.

Pobega has impressed during pre-season and you can understand why the Rossoneri might have second thoughts about his future, especially with Kessie’s injury. The next few days could be decisive to understand the situation.
