It’s been a long, hard road back for Andrea Bertolacci. Having endured an injury-ravaged season in 2015-2016, the Roman native went down a mere 5 minutes into his Serie A debut this year, on opening day against Torino.
AC Milan indicated that Bertolacci had some sort of muscular lesion to his right thigh… and over two months later, he’s still out.
Vincenzo Montella is, however, counting on Bertolacci to be back after the international break for the derby against Inter, something for which Milan seem to be optimistic about.
Can Bertolacci be Milan’s true summer acquisition, or an expensive flop?
