GdS: Rotation against Monza could be crucial for Milan’s long-term aims

Rotating the squad against Monza could be crucial for AC Milan’s long-term aims this season as the games come thick and fast, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) today, Stefano Pioli is clearly very aware that he must use every part of his squad at times during the season in order to get the most out of the collective.

Milan have been playing a gruelling schedule recently with Serie A matches and Champions League matches coming very few days.

It has already taken its toll on the squad with many key players suffering injuries. A home game against Monza is a very good opportunity for Pioli to ring the changes and give some key players a rest.

That is why it seems both Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao will be on the bench on Saturday evening, handing a start to Divock Origi and Anter Rebic instead.
