Nocerino on AC Milan: “One Ibrahimovic is better than 15 youngsters”

Having scored just 11 goals in 12 games, it’s no secret that Milan need to reinforce their attack in January, which is just around the corner. Therefore, work is underway to identify the best solution for the Rossoneri.

According to reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews.it), Ibrahimovic is still an idea for Milan. In fact, they could decide to sell Borini, Kessie and Rodriguez to fund a move for the big Swede, as well as other signings.

From those three sales, the Rossoneri would get a total of €60m (between transfer fees and saved wages), per the report. In that case, Milan could offer Ibrahimovic a contract worth €4m per year, although the length of the contract could be an obstacle.

In an interview with the same newspaper (via MilanNews.it), the former Rossoneri midfielder, Antonio Nocerino, spoke about the potential return of the striker. Without hesitating, he made it clear that Milan need him to bounce back.

“At Milan, the players need to take responsibility. And those who don’t intend to do so can stay outside. One Ibrahimovic is better than 15 youngsters, who are neither meat nor fish.

“Now, it is time to be men and footballers, with him the locker room you can’t hide. For better or for worse, he puts pressure. He has the effect of improving those around him because he forces you to raise the bar,” Nocerino concluded.
