Official: Nice vs. Milan starting XIs – Maignan gets his debut; Calabria returns

By Isak Möller -

With less than an hour left until the game between Milan and Nice will kick off, Stefano Pioli has named his starting eleven. There are no major surprises, but there are a few players to keep an extra eye on.

Ismael Bennacer tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and isn’t available for the game. Tommaso Pobega, as was expected, has been given the chance alongside Sandro Tonali instead and it will be a big game for him.

Mike Maignan will make his debut for the club and we could also see Olivier Giroud off the bench.

It’s the Rossoneri’s third friendly clash of the pre-season after facing Pro Sesto and Modena, so it’s safe to say this will be a bit tougher. Pioli will be able to rely on a strong XI, though, so it should be an interesting game.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Hernandez, Pobega, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Krunic; Leao.

Official Nice XI: Benitez, Atal, Todibo, Dante (cap), Kamara, Kluivert, Thuram, Rosario, Da Cunha, Ndoye, Gouiri.
