Official: Pioli names 21-man squad for Napoli clash – Musacchio in, Duarte out

By Isak Möller -

On the eve of Milan-Napoli, Stefano Pioli has announced his 21-man squad for the game, hoping to turn their negative trend around. Should the Rossoneri win, then they would get a much-needed confidence boost.

The manager will have to deal without quite a few players, as Borini, Castillejo, Duarte and Rodriguez are excluded from the list. On the other hand, Kessie and Musacchio are back after missing out on the Juve game.

According to Anto Vitiello of MilanNews.it, the Argentine defender will slot in straight away at the back as a result of Duarte’s injury, partnering up with Romagnoli. Other than that, there are no real surprises in the starting eleven.

Tomorrow’s game will certainly be an important one for the Rossoneri, given it could represent a turning point. Three points would at least show that they are on the right track, although it won’t be easy against a tough side.

Goalkeepers: Donnarumma A., Donnarumma G., Reina.

Defenders: Calabria, Caldara, Conti, Gabbia, Hernández, Musacchio, Romagnoli.

Midfielders: Biglia, Bonaventura, Brescianini, Kessie, Krunić, Paquetá.

Forwards: Leão, Maldini, Piątek, Rebić, Suso.
