Pioli explains what AC Milan must do to improve Piatek

By Isak Möller -

During today’s press conference at Milanello, ahead of the game against Napoli tomorrow, Stefano Pioli spoke about Kris Piatek (via MilanNews.it). The manager believes that the striker is on the right path.

The Polish international has had a tough start to the season, scoring just three goals in the first 12 rounds, two of which came from the penalty spot. Of course, this has contributed to Milan’s slow start, as well as the other way round.

Pioli was asked about the ideal conditions for Piatek, in other words, what the Rossoneri need to do to get him going again. After a positive performance against Juventus, there is hope that he can improve even more in the upcoming games.

“During the break, I had a lot of time to review the game. I think Kris worked very well against Juventus, attacking the depth and working with the team.

“His performances are improving and he comes from an important goal with the national team. The more we can manage to put the ball into the box, the more we will favour his qualities,” he stated.

As mentioned, Milan will take on Napoli at the San Siro tomorrow evening. Piatek is expected to play from start and hopefully, he can get on the scoresheet. It’s safe to say that his side needs it.
