Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Inter-Milan as Ibrahimovic and Romagnoli return

By Isak Möller -

Milan are currently gearing up to take on city rivals Inter at the San Siro tomorrow, keen on grabbing their first derby win in the league since 2016. It’s about time, in other words, to change the trend for the Rossoneri.

Earlier this evening, Stefano Pioli announced his 23-man squad for the important clash. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessio Romagnoli are back in the squad, while Ante Rebic still hasn’t recovered from his elbow dislocation.

Goalkeepers: A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu.

Defenders: Calabria, Conti, Dalot, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Romagnoli.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Çalhanoğlu, Castillejo, Díaz, Hauge, Kessie, Krunić, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Forwards: Colombo, Ibrahimović, Leão, Maldini.

Diogo Dalot, who was brought in from Man Utd on loan, is included in the squad for the first time. The Portuguese, however, won’t start the game just like his Rafael Leao, who has lost out in the battle with Samu Castillejo and Brahim Diaz.

According to MilanNews.it, the Real Madrid loanee is expected to start on the left-hand side, meaning Alexis Saelemaekers will be on the right as usual. Other than that, the starting XI is what you would expect.
