Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Inter-Milan; Ibrahimovic included, Biglia returns

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the derby clash with Inter this evening, Stefano Pioli has named his 23-man squad for the game, having had the final training session this morning. As expected, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is included.

The Swede has been working on a personalized program this week, struggling with a muscle injury. However, for today’s session, he was able to work with the rest of his teammates, meaning he will play from the first minute tonight.

Other than that, there are no big surprises in the squad. Lucas Biglia is back after recovering from his injury, while Rade Krunic has been left out due to his foot injury. After tonight’s game, should they lose, then Pioli can’t blame it on injury struggles.

Goalkeepers: Begović, A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma.

Defenders: Calabria, Conti, Gabbia, Hernández, Kjær, Laxalt, Musacchio, Romagnoli.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Biglia, Bonaventura, Brescianini, Çalhanoğlu, Kessie, Paquetá, Saelemaekers.

Forwards: Castillejo, Ibrahimović, Leão, Rebić.

The game, of course, will be very important for both sides. Not just for the prestige of winning the Milan derby, but also with regards to the league standings. At this stage of the season, every win is crucial.
