Ahead of tonight’s encounter between AC Milan and Roma, Stefano Pioli has named his squad. The manager will be able to welcome back Brahim Diaz, who has recovered from Covid-19 and will play from start tonight.
The Rossoneri are looking to continue their unbeaten run in the league, currently at 28 points after 10 games. Only Napoli are ahead on goal difference and the goal is now to leapfrog the Partenopei.
For tonight’s game, Pioli has decided to call up 23 players and Diaz – as mentioned – is one of them. It’s a big boost for Milan as the Spaniard has been the main creative force in attack for them this season.
Goalkeepers
Jungdal, Mirante, Tătărușanu.
Defenders
Ballo-Touré, Calabria, Conti, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Romagnoli, Tomori.
Midfielders
Bakayoko, Bennacer, Díaz, Kessie, Krunić, Saelemaekers, Tonali.
Forwards
Giroud, Ibrahimović, Leão, Maldini.
Pietro Pellegri will miss out (reason not known) and the same can be said for Ante Rebic, who is yet to recover from his ankle injury. Hopefully, Milan will claim all three points at the Olimpico this evening.

Oh goodness! I really had high hopes for Pellegri and was hoping that he’d finally return to his best here. I hope he has no problem with Mr. Pioli.
Pellegri has been a huge disappointment but not surpassing at all. He hasn’t been able to stay healthy last few years and scored 2 goals over that time period. Do NOT pick up his 7M option – that money should be spent elsewhere. Bring Columbo back next season and he can be our 3rd striker behind Giroud and hopefully a player like Vlahovic.
