Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Sassuolo clash – Roback replaces injured Rebic

By Isak Möller -

As if Milan didn’t have enough injuries already, Ante Rebic will miss tomorrow’s game due to a foot problem he experienced against Genoa. Certainly, the Rossoneri are under a lot of pressure to win.

Stefano Pioli simply can’t catch a break. Zlatan Ibrahimovic looked set to make his return this weekend but picked up another injury yesterday. And now, he will have to do without the Swede’s replacement, Rebic.

On the official website, the manager announced his 23-man squad for the game. Emil Roback, the Primavera striker who arrived from Hammarby this summer, has been included for the first time due to Rebic’s injury.

GOALKEEPERS
A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu.

DEFENDERS
Calabria, Conti, Dalot, Duarte, Hernández, Kalulu, Musacchio, Romagnoli.

MIDFIELDERS
Çalhanoğlu, Castillejo, Díaz, Hauge, Kessie, Krunić, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

FORWARDS
Colombo, Leão, Maldini, Roback.

The game is scheduled for 15:00 and it remains to be seen how Milan will get on without their stars. At this point, it’s clear that the Rossoneri have had the most issues with injuries in Serie A this season.

  1. I advise Rebic should change his jercy number to his usual 18 the number 12 jercy has a bad luck in Milan, considering how Andrea Conti battled with it, and at the end of the day couldn’t contributes anything.
