Pedrosi: Milan, Chelsea and Spurs among teams battling for Torino star – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a striker ahead of next season as Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t be able to play every game from start to finish. However, with the Swede set to stay, it remains to be seen how much they are willing to spend.

The Rossoneri have been linked with several names and they already have Mario Mandzukic, who has a renewal clause for one more season in his contract. For the future, however, another name will be needed for Stefano Pioli.

One of the players that have been linked with the club is Andrea Belotti, who has been a Milan fan since he was a kid. However, many big teams are minoring the situation of the striker, as Torino are in the relegation battle.

In addition, Belotti’s contract will expire in 2022 and he will make a decision on his future this summer. According to Matteo Pedrosi, the renewal hinges on two factors: Torino need to stay up and they need to make an important economic effort.

However, even with that place, the final decision will be taken by Belotti as the likes of Milan, Inter, Chelsea and Tottenham – among many others – are keeping tabs on his situation and can offer more salary-wise.

Should he decide to stay at Torino, then it’s unlikely that he will make the step to a bigger club, which has seemed imminent for so long now.
