AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli deserves questioning for his selection choices after last night’s 1-1 draw against Udinese, a journalist has claimed.
Andrea Longoni writes for MilanNews that after only 8 points amassed in the last 6 games, there is justified talk of a ‘crisis’ at Milan and it is clear that against Udinese the ‘post-Champions League rotation’ once again cost the Rossoneri dearly. The ‘responsibility of Pioli is evident’ he writes because he again decided to field again the Bennacer-Bakayoko double pivot, who struggled against Sassuolo.
Longoni describes it as ‘an incomprehensible choice’ and adds that Milan cannot do without one of Kessie or Tonali (or both) at any one time. Bakayoko has made too many mistakes and has shown too much carelessness, which could influence the transfer plans for January especially in view of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Also worrying is the involution of Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz who have been ‘unrecognisable for too long’, the journalist states, while recoveries from injuries are needed badly to add some life into the attack.

If Pioli wants Milan to finish in TOP4 he should NEVER again put Bakayoko & Bennacer on the pitch together. Never.
Theo has the luck that Tomori and Kessie return defending when he loses 95% the balls when he is attacking. The guy can’t defend, he sould play as a winger and not as a left back! I wouldn’t mind if we could sell him for a 40million and get 2 defenders. Bennacer, Bakayoko and Diaz should also leave, especially Diaz…i think he should play Futsal.
I think we should send bakayoko back to Chelsea,as for Theo and Diaz we need to manage their time for them.
Theo cannot play ball. The immature interest from other clubs have gotten into his head. He’s our worst player. He should be discarded as soon as possible.
