CM: Pioli to make changes in attack for Torino game – it is forbidden to make mistakes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan travel to face Torino away from home on Sunday night knowing that there are now virtually no margins for error in their mission to win the title.

Calciomercato.com report that it is forbidden to make mistakes for Milan in the Scudetto race and Stefano Pioli’s side simply need three points to keep the lead in the standings, but Ivan Juric’s Torino are not easy opponents given that they recently held Inter to a 1-1 draw in Turin.

Milan average 2.40 points per game away from home in Serie A and that is the best average of any team in the league, but in Sunday evening at the Olimpico there will be an even more intense and physical challenge than the 0-0 draw with Bologna.

That is why Franck Kessie will start ahead of Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali as the attacking midfielder because he will provide a bit of extra muscle in the forward line, while Brahim Diaz will sit on the bench as he is still searching for the best version of himself.

Alexis Saelemakers will take the place of a disappointing Junior Messias on the right wing, meaning the Belgian international will have a great opportunity to raise his head after some tough recent games and prove to Pioli that he should be relied upon in the run-in.

  1. Move Rebic to the 10 , as to Saele. Still think he can contribute, way better than Messias. He at least moves ball directly at the goal, rather than service a header to the triple teamed Giroud….need more leg action and less head action

  2. BTW, this is the game where Belloti is going to try and impress, if he really loves A.C. he will kick the ball on his attempts into the upper deck.
