Pioli discusses poor form at home and explains how Milan can turn the page

By Isak Möller -

Milan will be looking to improve their record at home tomorrow as they will take on Genoa, following four games without a win at San Siro. It’s become a serious problem for the Rossoneri, who need all the points they can get.

Their performances at home have been subpar in 2020 and compared to how they play away from home, there is a huge difference. Inevitably, therefore, Pioli was asked about this during the press conference earlier today.

He made it very clear that the coaching staff have analysed several situations to try and find things they can improve when playing at San Siro. At the end of the day, though, it’s a question of attitude which he stressed during the presser.

“It’s the desire we all have. We want to return to win at San Siro, after a long time. We will have to do it with precise choices, trying to have more quality in the last quarter of the pitch.

“We have evaluated our performances at home. We faced different opponents with different attitudes. We need to be more focused in the last quarter and attack with more conviction and quality,” he stated as cited by MilanNews.

The game is scheduled for 12:30 CEST tomorrow and with just eight games left of the season, Milan need to claim another three points. The Champions League race is extremely tight and the teams fighting for those spots can’t afford to drop points.
