Pioli makes stance clear when asked about Milan future: “My future is tomorrow”

By Isak Möller -

As Milan could end up finishing outside the top four, Stefano Pioli’s position at the helm of the team has been questioned. Although he’s expected to remain even without UCL, it’s worth noting that there are some doubts.

Assuming that Napoli and Juventus win their games, then Milan will need a win against Atalanta tomorrow and that is no easy task. At the same time, it would a disaster sporting-wise to finish outside the top four for the Rossoneri.

During today’s press conference, on the eve of the clash, Pioli was asked what he thinks about his future at the club and he made his stance very clear. Without speculating about next season, he shifted focus to tomorrow’s crucial encounter.

“My future is tomorrow, tomorrow’s match. We all have to think like this. We’ll start thinking about the future from Monday,” he said as cited by MilanNews.

The game will kick off at 20:45 CEST and it remains to be seen if Milan will be given any favours by Hellas Verona and Bologna. Hopefully, they will pull it off with a strong performance at the Gewiss Stadium.
