Pirlo admits Milan and Inter ‘have something more’ than Juventus in Scudetto race

By Isak Möller -

With just one game left of the year, Milan are currently at the top of the Serie A standings. Few would have predicted this at the start of the season, even after the successful summer, but the Rossoneri just keep impressing us.

This evening, Stefano Pioli’s men will take on Lazio at San Siro and due to the injury struggles, this will be a very tough game. Inter, who will face Hellas Verona away from home, are just one point behind and will be keen to finish on top.

As for Juventus, yesterday was a very bad day for them as they lost six points. Napoli won their appeal and their clash with the Bianconeri will be played, while Fiorentina surprisingly came away with a 3-0 win at Allianz Stadium last night.

In an interview with Sky Italia after the game, as cited by MilanNews, Juve manager Andrea Pirlo was asked about the tight Scudetto race. He admitted that both Milan and Inter are ahead of his team, not just in the standings.

“We feel strong, they are ahead, at this moment they have something more than us. Let’s not hide this, they can be the favourites, we are behind and we will try to recover,” he concluded.
