PM: Milan and Maldini eye bargain deal for Real Madrid playmaker – talks ongoing

By Isak Möller -

In recent weeks, Milan have been linked with several names on the market, but they are yet to make an actual signing. With the start of the season just one month away, they need to act soon.

According to a report from PianetaMilan, the Rossoneri have set their sights on Brahim Diaz. Real Madrid signed the playmaker for €17m in January last year and after just six league games, Paolo Maldini is eyeing a bargain deal.

The director has a good relationship with the Bernabeu side, resulting in the Theo Hernandez signing last year, and yet another deal could be closed by the parties. Per the report, contacts are already ongoing regarding the matter.

It’s, of course, very unlikely that Real Madrid will ask for the €750m release clause to be triggered which, however, demonstrated how much they believed in the player when he was signed. Milan are serious in the pursuit and consider Diaz the perfect profile.

Young, very talented and would come from a top club. In short, ready to explode, exactly as Hernandez did this past season. Milan also followed him last year, intrigued by his flexibility and potential, and spoke to Real about it back then as well.
