Napoli have rejected the chance to sign AC Milan forward Andre Silva this summer, according to the latest reports.
The Portugal international still looks destined to leave the club this summer as the Milan leadership are seemingly determined to sell him.
Silva was close to moving to Monaco in a €30m deal, but it ended up falling through due to financial disagreements, while suggestions of potential swap deal involving Pietro Pellegri were also quickly cooled.
A report earlier in the week suggested that the 23-year-old is still ‘destined’ to leave Milan this summer, but his destination is not yet known as his agent Jorge Mendes is seemingly struggling to attract suitors.
According to Rai Sport (via Football Italia), Monaco have now turned their attentions to Sevilla’s Wissam Ben Yedder in their search to replace Radamel Falcao.
They go on to add that Napoli were offered the chance to sign Silva on loan with option to buy, however Carlo Ancelotti rejected the chance to sign him due to concerns over playing style.
A €40m asking price has apparently been placed on the former Porto man as the saga threatens to drag on into the closing days of the window.
