Rashford Maynard AC Milan management

MN: Rashford to discuss Milan interest with his agent after ‘first exploratory meeting’

Marcus Rashford looks set to leave Manchester United in January, and AC Milan are one of the parties interested in the winger. Yesterday, the first discussions were held with his agent/brother.

In Ruben Amorim’s first game as United’s head coach, Rashford found himself on the scoresheet, and some may have believed that the attacker of old was going to return. It has, of course, not played out this way as we know.

Since then, the Englishman has been cast aside and struggled for minutes, and with both parties discussing a future perhaps apart, a move looks likely, even if it is just temporary.

Of course, several teams have become aware of this idea, and Milan are one of those interested parties, alongside other of Europe’s elite. After all, everyone knows about Rashford’s talent, it is just whether anyone has the ability, and more importantly, money, to unlock that.

Reports in recent days have suggested that the Rossoneri’s interest will be dependent on the financials. However, it is possible that the club will consider it heavily, and this is why a preliminary meeting took place yesterday with the player’s agent.

According to Milan News, Dwaine Maynard, Rashford’s brother, travelled to Milan to speak to the Milanese management about the project, but no contractual details were discussed, instead the meeting was purely ‘exploratory’. Today, discussions will be held between the agent and player about the meeting, where the Diavolo and other possibilities will also be considered.

  1. The guy was partying in Belfast when he got caught. Ten Hag then benched him.
And now Amorim has benched him as well.

He will go out partying with Abraham, Tomori and RLC.
We will never have money to buy him and we will never pay his salary. What’s the point?

    1. He would cost under 40M and if he will reduce his salary Milan can pay it? What is the point of your post? Do you think people running the club don’t know how much he would cost and what wage would he accept? Only you and 3 other guys in comments know that, not the people negotiating?

  3. Laugh at me but in all honesty if we are looking at EPL strikers, I much rather go for Darwin Nunez. I agree at Liverpool he cant score goals but some of that is due to lack of confidence. Last year he hit the post 8 times which is a record. His work rate is great, he can play out wide as he is a workhorse and is able to create goals and has good link up play. He is Cavani 2.0 but rough around the edges. I would love for us to explore getting him over Rashford. He played in Portugal so Conceicao knows him well. If he can get his confidence back he would be a great player at a good age to play for us for years..

      1. I think this deal is doable. Liverpool have too many attacking options and he wants to play. If we can get loan to buy option that would be ideal. Big difference is unlike Rashford, Nunez earns 7-8m so we wont have to ask Liverpool to cover his wages. 6 month salary is 3.5-4m which we can pay. If he impresses we should be able to get him for 40-45m. If Moncada has a brain and stops choosing players based on algorithm this deal would be very smart.

    1. No one would laugh at you buddy, its a very good opinion, but it cost us nothing less than 60m transfer.
Honestly, if he had that kind of budget, I would just go for Gyokeres instead.

      1. Gyokeres is doing excellent but he could easily fail at a big club due to pressure like Nunez did. Big clubs want him and his buy out clause is 80m so we have no chance of getting him.
