Real Madrid loanee cryptic as he touches on future at Milan: “I like this group”

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz bagged his first goal since December for Milan earlier this evening as they managed to beat Fiorentina 3-2. It was a crucial win for the Rossoneri and an important goal for the Spaniard.

Since he arrived from Real Madrid on loan in the summer, he has offered mixed performance and that was the case tonight. After a poor first half, he picked himself up and eventually played a crucial role in the win.

In our ratings, he got a rating of 6.5/10 and it would have certainly been more if he had been better in the first half. Speaking to Sky Italia after the game, as cited by MilanNews, he was asked about his future at the club.

“I’m very happy at Milan and in this group, also with the fans. For the future we will see, I like this group, this team and these wonderful fans,” he stated.

It was important that Milan grabbed all three points this evening, as Juventus surprisingly lost at home against Benevento earlier today. In addition to the standings, it was a huge morale booster for the team, coming back from behind to win.
