CM: Rebic could start upfront for Milan against Udinese

By Euan Burns -

Ante Rebic could be starting upfront for AC Milan in their first Serie A game of the season against Udinese on Saturday, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the physical issues that Olivier Giroud is suffering could result in a start as the main striker for Croatian forward Rebic.

He tends to rotate with Rafael Leao on the left side of the attack but he is able to play in the centre. Milan do have more depth in that area this season thanks to the signing of Divock Origi but he will not be fit to start.

Marko Lazetic is not being allowed to leave the club on loan until Origi has returned to fitness which means that he could get some minutes against the Friulians on Saturday evening at San Siro.

The chances of him starting are extremely low but he is expected to be named on the bench.

  1. CdK up front and Adli as trequartista! Rebic is probably one the forwards in Europe who is poorest in small spaces, and with the defensive congestion that Udinese usually sets up, he will surely not preform well.

  2. Both of you are on drugs, you want to play CDK none of you even know what his play is like and leave rebic in the bench when we all know Milan play better Play with rebic as false 9, well I don’t care, pioli is a very smart though, it’s Rebic all the way

    1. You. Are A. Dumbass.
I would not mind starting lazetic or CDK, Lazetic because he is untested and i’m mad like that, CDK bcs of his movement. Rebic needs to run, which udinese won’t let him do.

      1. The people “on drugs” are providing valid reasons for their arguments, whereas you are saying you don’t care, and Pioli is very smart. It’s neither cohesive nor providing a point of view, which is true of most of your other comments, so please do us all a favour and refrain from commenting further on this site.
(apologise for sounding like a twat)

    2. As as CF (the position he played regularly last season), CDK is like taller Rebic. But he just arrived and had not play in friendly as CF with Milan, so it’s not the right time.

  3. Rebic is versatile… he can play in so many different positions… on wings, sole forward, can make little passes in tight spaces, can use his pace to run to thru balls into space… or even though he’s not tall, he has great jumping ability to rise up and head balls in for goals (like his great tying goal vs Juventus early in the season last year). He will contribute well no matter where Pioli puts him.

  4. bro i think some people see some matches and forget the players bro have u ever seen milan vs liverpool and did u see rebic? bro rebic is best forward in the team torino 7-0 are u guys literally sleeping when those matches happen
