Milan’s recent success hasn’t gone unnoticed in the last few weeks, now on 23 games without a loss. As a consequence, however, the Rossoneri’s star players have attracted the interested of a few big clubs.
One of these players is Hakan Calhanoglu, who has been crucial for Stefano Pioli’s side in the post-lockdown period. The No.10 has been one of the best attacking midfielders in the top-five leagues in this period, inevitably attracting interest.
According to the reliable German journalist Christian Falk, Man Utd are in ‘concrete negotiations’ for the 26-year-old, whose contract with Milan will expire in 2021. The latter are keen on locking down the player, but it might not be that easy.
True: United is in concrete negotiations with Hakan Çalhanoğlu (26) @acmilan. the contact has been there since summer. therefore he turned down an offer from @juventusfc. @ManUtd has not to pay a Transfer fee (contract ends 2021) pic.twitter.com/faQOtYGZEe

The English side are eyeing a free transfer and thus would be able to offer a high salary, which is indeed worrying for Milan. Calhanoglu’s agent has been in talks with them since the summer and as a result, the player also rejected an approach from Juventus.
