AC Milan have once again turned towards Atalanta as they look to stockpile their youth players, a report claims.
According to Sportitalia, Milan’s management is not just thinking about reinforcements for the first team in the winter mercato.
They claims that the Rossoneri have in fact opened talks with Atalanta for midfielder Filippo Melegoni.
The 18-year-old is a highly rated prospect in La Dea’s youth system, which has recently produced some valuable talent.
Sportitalia state that Milan have begun talks to try and lock up a deal as soon as possible, with a view to the player joining in June.
Melegoni has been capped by Italy at U15, U16 and U17 levels, and is a current member of the under-19 side.
