Gigio Donnarumma isn’t the only player that could leave Milan for free this summer. Hakan Calhanoglu will also be out of contract at the end of June and the Rossoneri are yet to reach an agreement with his agent.
Even though Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have done really well to stand firm in the negotiations and also secure Mike Maignan so quickly, it must be said that losing both Donnarumma and Calhanoglu for free would be a big failure.
Having said that, there’s not much Milan can do considering that high wages aren’t exactly ideal either. As reported by Daniel Speranza, the Rossoneri won’t improve their renewal offer for Calhanoglu, with the situation currently on stand-by.
And as with Donnarumma, they are already working on a replacement as talks with Udinese over Rodrigo De Paul have intesified. The goal, as the journalist continues, is to have a complete squad for the day of the retreat.
