Report: Milan hold meeting with representatives of Lyon star Depay

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan held a meeting with Dutch agency SEG – who boast clients such as Memphis Depay and Kasper Dolberg – a report claims.

Milan have added five players already so far this summer: namely Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer and – most recently – Leo Duarte.

Despite this, Paolo Maldini and the rest of the Rossoneri leadership are still hard at work exploring potential reinforcements to give Marco Giampaolo ahead of his first season at the club.

It has been suggested that Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa is the only forward target that Milan are looking at currently, with the player keen to join and even reportedly having handed in a transfer request.

However, as reported by Radio Rossonera, the club met with representatives of the Sports Entertainment Group on Tuesday at Casa Milan.

They have a list of clients which includes the likes of Stefan de Vrij, Marten de Roon, Kevin Strootman, Kasper Dolberg and perhaps most interestingly Memphis Depay.

It was claimed last month that Milan are continuing to track the Netherlands international amid rumours a €30m bid could be launched.

Depay was in outstanding form for the Ligue 1 club last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in 29 league appearances, and could be an ideal fit in Marco Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 formation.

At the moment though, he is most likely only being considered as an alternative to Correa.
