Report: Milan want to include buy-back as midfielder edges closer to Atalanta

By Isak Möller -

Milan have been very active on the transfer market thus far and it doesn’t look like this will change any time soon. While reinforcements are very important, they also need to offload a few players.

Tommaso Pobega is one of the players who could leave the Rossoneri this summer. Not so much because he isn’t good enough, but rather because he doesn’t fit the system and also needs a lot of playing time due to his young age.

According to the latest reports from Eco Di Bergamo, as cited by MilanNews, Atalanta are in advanced talks with Milan over the services of the midfielder. In fact, the deal should be closed by the parties at €12m plus bonuses.

Having said that, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have made it clear that they want a buy-back clause in the deal. After all, Pobega has a lot of potential and Milan at least want to have the chance of bringing him back.

Jag fattar inte varför väntar vi med Pessina som är i landslaget och kan bi köppa med 50 % rabat så om de vill Pobega betyder Pessina för 0 kr🤔😡

  2. Kourosh says:

Please do. It’s only natural not to make the same mistake we’ve been doing on so many talents.

  3. Piru says:

The buy back clause should be set for 15 to 20 million euros not like the Pessina one that we can buy for half the price that atalanta puts on im to others clubs and wen he its 100 games Milan loses the clause!

  4. ZXCVBN says:

Is he seriously going to get ‘lots of playing time’ at atalanta?
It would have been better to have him as our 4th mid
Also 12 mil is an insult to him

  5. Zoro Caloro says:

Lol doesn’t work in the system???? He’s a kid, he can learn any system right now especially in the off-season. This comes down to an issue of lack of faith in our own, I’ll keep repeating it, Milan today hates Italians. Disgrace of the team I grew up loving.

  6. Shal says:

Keep young talents in the squad while we have Zlatan to teach and motivate them. If he changed Kessie and Theo that much, he would be a great guru for everyone. Use it!

    No no no no…
