Reports: Battle between Leao and Rebic for starting spot in Juventus vs. Milan

By Isak Möller -

As almost all of the players are available for tomorrow’s clash against Juventus, Stefano Pioli will have to get the tactics right. Taking the importance of the game into consideration, the manager will be under some pressure.

It seems the starting XI will be similar to the one of last time out, although Davide Calabria and Simon Kjaer will start again. They were on the bench against Benevento after experiencing flu symptoms the day before the game.

As reported by both Gazzetta Dello Sport and Tuttosport (via SempreMilan), there will be a battle between Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic for the left-wing spot. The former seems to be ahead for the time being, despite not impressing against Benevento.

Juventus often attack down their right-hand side and thus the decision carries some importance. You could argue that Rebic is the better alternative defensively, but Pioli also wants the edge Leao can provide in attack.
