Reports: Five players could leave Milan in January to help fund three key signings

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in adding players in three key areas but may have to sell players to fund the moves, according to reports.

The Rossoneri are likely to be active in the January transfer window as they currently sit down in 14th place with just 13 points from their opening 12 games.

According to a report from MilanNews.it, the squad could be set for a mini-overhaul in the winter as Milan look to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a defender and perhaps even a right-back.

Rumours surrounding the future of Davide Calabria are becoming more and more insistent due to concerns over his form, and the report claims he could be sold in January with Mehmet Zeki Celik of Lille his replacement.

Ricardo Rodríguez could also leave Milan as well as Franck Kessie, with Premier League side Wolves named as suitors for the latter.

In attack, the club must understand what will happen with Krzysztof Piatek, and the report cites La Gazzetta dello Sport in claiming that the Poland international has a month to convince the leadership or he could leave.

Fabio Borini could also be sold, and il Corriere dello Sport are cited as saying that Torino would be very interested in the former Liverpool man.
