Milan are preparing for life with Gigio Donnarumma, as there is still no agreement on the renewal. While they will continue to work hard to keep their star, they also don’t want to be caught unprepared in the summer.
According to Daniele Longo, confirmations have arrived regarding the Rossoneri’s interest in Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan. The 25-year-old has made 30 league appearances for the club and has kept an impressive 16 clean sheets in the process.
Should Milan fail to renew the contract of Donnarumma, then they will go for Maignan and they could secure him for as little as €10m. The goalkeeper’s contract will expire in 2022 and this is the reason behind the price tag.
Milan also have excellent relations with Lille as their owners, Elliott Management, have also been involved in the French side. However, as per L’Equipe, the Rossoneri could face competition from Tottenham who want to replace Hugo Lloris.
