Reports: Positive talks held with Turkish giants as Laxalt nears exit

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Diego Laxalt has held positive talks with Fenerbahce over a possible move, according to a report.

Laxalt’s future with the Rossoneri appears to be under severe threat following Theo Hernandez’s arrival from Real Madrid in a €20m deal earlier this summer.

The capture of the Frenchman means that Milan currently have four left-backs on the books; the other two being Ricardo Rodriguez and Ivan Strinic.

Recent reports have suggested that Paolo Maldini and Boban will look to offload two left-backs before the window shuts, and it appears that Laxalt is the most in-demand.

The Uruguay international has been linked with a number of clubs in Italy, including the likes of Fiorentina and Atalanta.

According to RadioRossonera and TRT Sport however, it is Fenerbahce who have at present held positive and concrete talks with Laxalt’s agent.

The Turkish side are apparently keen on buying the 26-year-old outright, whereas the other two interested sides – Parma and Fiorentina – prefer a loan with option to buy.

Either way it appears his future will soon be resolved, as Laxalt’s representative Ariel Krasouski recently revealed that he will meet with the club on Tuesday to discuss his client’s future.
