Reports: Probable starting XIs for Milan vs. Bologna – one attacking battle to decide

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Bologna on Monday evening and it’s another important game for them, just like all of the remaining league games. Stefano Pioli only has one doubt regarding the starting XI, reports claim.

Some have players have returned from international duty and will, understandably, be a bit tired and that could affect the XI. One player that remained at Milanello was Ante Rebic, now in line for a starting spot.

Gazzetta Dello Sport have Rafael Leao on the left wing and haven’t even mentioned Rebiuc as a contender, but Tuttosport have the Croatian in the XI (see photos below). It remains to be seen which player Pioli will choose.

The rest of the XI is what you would expect, though, as Pioli has a full squad available bar the injury of Simon Kjaer. Who do you think should start on the left flank, Rebic or Leao? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Leao is such a dynamic player, and a threat to score, however he has becaome “lazy” ,if he loses the ball, mopes around, throwing his arms up in the air, maybe riding the bench for this game will serve two purposes especially if Rebic plays the type of game we have seen from him in the past and give Rafe a needed rest. The result must be 3 points.

  2. just viewed the picture in the article, there he is moping, must have just lost the ball, I can tell you this Rafe, your games are only going to get way tougher, you need to look for assists since you more than likely be marked by two defenders and when you do lose the dribble get mad and get the ball back.
