Reports: Two more players might leave the AC Milan Women this summer

By Steph Insixiengmay -

The AC Milan Women have been pretty busy this summer already as the squad is experiencing a turnover, and the club are reportedly set to lose two more players.

The first of which is Giorgia Spinelli. According to Cartellino Rosa, Spinelli is said to be in the sights of Sampdoria. Sampdoria was formerly known as Florentia but the team recently sold their rights to the Genoa-based club.

Sampdoria has also hired Antonio Cincotta as their coach. Cincotta is the former coach of Fiorentina, who were Milan’s principal rivals last season.

Spinelli has played a total of twelve matches for Milan and has scored a total of two goals. The player’s departure means that the Rossonere have either deemed her a surplus to requirements or are bringing in a replacement that could further strengthen the squad.

The other potential departure is Federica Rizza. The right-back is said to be headed to Sampdoria as well. Like Spinelli, Rizza’s departure will make way for another defender. Both moves have not been finalised yet, but they should be made official within the upcoming days.
