Repubblica: Pioli wants Real Madrid striker as new meeting takes place – loan deal possible

By Isak Möller -

Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic has renewed his contract with Milan, the hypothesis of another striker arriving hasn’t died yet. The Rossoneri are still monitoring Real Madrid man Luka Jovic, a report claims.

Milan had yet another meeting with agent Fali Ramadani recently, wanting to understand the feasibility of signing Luka Jovic this summer, per La Repubblica. The striker is a direct request by Stefani Pioli, who wants to complete the attack with the Serbian.

The Rossoneri are trying to exploit the friendship between Ante Rebic and Jovic, who were teammates at Eintracht two seasons ago, to convince the striker. However, Real Madrid don’t seem keen on selling the 22-year-old for the time being.

Milan’s relations with the Bernabeu side are excellent and the hypothesis thus remains alive, also because the competition is tough for Jovic. A loan deal can’t be excluded, especially towards the end of the transfer window, as the report concludes.
