CM: Revolution in attack expected this summer at Milan – several players at risk

AC Milan’s attacking department simply hasn’t yielded the numbers hoped for this season and that is why outgoings are expected in the summer, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com report, Napoli have scored 64 goals this season after 27 games, with Inter on 47 and Milan on 44. The Victor Osimhen and Kvara Kvaratskhelia pairing has contributed to 33 goals in 27 games played in the top flight, while Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud have combined for 16, and the total only rises to 21 when throwing in Charles De Ketelaere, Ante Rebic and Divock Origi.

At the moment, the only certainty in the department is Giroud and talks are underway for the renewal of his contract expiring in 2023, while on the Leao front the next few weeks will be decisive as the obstacle is still the €15m fine to be paid to Sporting CP. However, a sale cannot be ruled out.

The same also applies to Rebic and Origi, who seem more likely to leave than stay at present, while the permanent signing of Brahim Diaz seems complicated. To take his place will be De Keteleare who will be trusted, but some signings will be needed too.
