Romano: Milan in negotiations over double renewal – intention is to discuss Ibrahimovic’s stay

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on renewing three players whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the season, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

Technical director Paolo Maldini confirmed during an interview with Bein Sports earlier today that Milan are in talks to try and come to agreements with the expiring trio, and that ‘the hope is to find an agreement soon’.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the news on his Twitter account. He states that – as Maldini said – Milan want to renew the contract of Ibrahimovic, which will expire on 30 June. Negotiations with his agent Mino Raiola will begin in the next few months.

Milan are also negotiating to extend the contracts of Calhanoglu and Donnarumma, he adds, and those are perhaps even more pressing matters given their importance to the team, the fact they will be longer deals and the distance between offer and demand that has been reported in the media recently.
