Romano: The truth about Milan’s plan for Man Utd loanee after successful start

By Isak Möller -

Diogo Dalot put in yet another good shift in the Europa League, most recently against Sparta Praha in the final game of the group stage. In fact, his performance was excellent, earning him a good verdict in our ratings

The Portuguese defender arrived from Man Utd at the beginning of the season, signing a one-year loan deal with the Rossoneri. The feeling thus far, based on the performances, is that he can be a great asset in the second half of the season.

As highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, in his latest piece for Calciomercato.com, Dalot played out of position (as a left-back) but had zero problems. Instead, he drove forward as usual and also got the assist for Jens Petter Hauge’s goal.

Milan are enthusiastic about Dalot’s quick turnaround and the idea for the future is clear, as the reporter continues: negotiations with Man Utd will only start later without rushing things and failing to make a proper assessment of the loan spell.

In the meantime, Dalot is giving his all to convince Milan and earn a starting spot in the league. Because in Europa League, he has already shown Paolo Maldini and especially Ricky Massara, his big fan, that he is a good player.
