Schira: Milan could be forced to include counterparts to lower Tonali fee

By Isak Möller -

Sandro Tonali joined Milan last summer on an initial loan deal, sparking a lot of expectation among the Rossoneri fans. Although his season was average, there are no doubts about his future at the club.

Milan are, however, negotiating with Brescia on the overall price tag as they feel that lowering it is justified. According to Nicolo Schira, president Massimo Cellino wants to keep the €25m valuation (€10m + €15m) for budget reasons.

Therefore, the solution could be to include one or two technical counterparts in the deal, thus lowering the amount paid in cash. It would most likely be youth players but no names were mentioned by the journalist.

Tonali made 25 appearances in Serie A this past season but failed to register a single point, still waiting on his first goal for the club. On the other hand, he did score a lovely goal in the penalty shoot-out against Torino in the Coppa Italia.

  1. IMO, he must learn to become a trequartista or in the role like calhanoglu right know, surely he had the potential attribute, he should confidence about that and pioli must try this sometimes. I said this because sometimes i feel we waste his playmaking ability when he must help defence, bodyball fight or making tackle which is not his best at. With time and right experience he is a raw diamond that still can be shape into a great player someday
