AC Milan have received a concrete offer from Fenerbahce for full-back Ricardo Rodriguez however it is not to their liking, a report claims.
Rodriguez has seen his place in the starting line-up taken by Theo Hernandez, with the Frenchman having impressed since his summer arrival from Real Madrid.
This has led to suggestions that the former Wolfsburg man could seek a new club in the upcoming window, with Rodriguez himself telling AZ that he is unhappy at not playing as much.
A lot of speculation had been surrounding a return to the Bundesliga, but Swiss outlet RSI stated on Wednesday that Rodriguez is in fact ‘one step away’ from signing with Fenerbahce.
According to Sky Italia though – as cited by MilanNews.it – Fenerbahce have indeed made a concrete offer for Rodriguez, asking for a loan deal.
However, Milan only want to sell the full-back outright, which fits in with La Gazzetta dello Sport’s story which suggested Milan could use funds generated by the sale of the 27-year-old full-back to close a deal for Barcelona centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo.
Rodriguez’s agent – Gianluca Di Domenico – recently told Radio Marte that his client needs more playing time from January and onwards, opening up to the idea of a move to Napoli.
