Sky: Milan consider sending Niang to Genoa in swap deal

By Oliver Fisher -

According to reports emerging on Monday evening, AC Milan are looking to offload M’Baye Niang to Genoa again.

Sky claim that the Rossoneri management are once again targeting Genoa as a possible loan destination for the Frenchman, in order for him to get more playing time.

The arrival of Gerard Deulofeu may mean that the 22-year-old is pushed down the pecking order again, with Giacomo Bonaventura preferred on the left flank recently.

The report goes on to state that Milan would look for a loan swap however, eyeing winger Lucas Ocampos in return.

Niang spent the second half 2014/15 season on loan with the Rossoblu, scoring five goals in an impressive spell, causing his future to be secured in Milan.

Despite a good start to the 2016/17 season, he has struggled for consistency, and has been publicly criticised by Vincenzo Montella.

Recent reports claim that Niang has been placed on the transfer list by Milan, but that they are yet to receive any offers for the former Caen man.
