Tomorrow evening, the derby between AC Milan and Inter will take place at the San Siro. With it being a sold-out game, the pressure will be on both sides to do well, as they could certainly use the points with regards to the standings.
According to reports from Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano (via MilanNews.it), as had been suggested in recent days, Stefano Pioli is expected to switch formations. Instead of the 4-4-2, he’s set to use a 4-4-1-1 to add more numerical stability to the midfield.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play from the first minute, having recovered from his muscle injury during the week. Rafael Leao, on the other hand, will be on the bench as Hakan Calhanoglu will play behind the Swedish international.
Meanwhile, instead of Jack Bonaventura, Ante Rebic will play to the left to cover for Calhanoglu’s position change. It will be interesting to see how the new formation will pan out.
Likely AC Milan XI (4-4-1-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo; Castillejo, Kessiè, Bennacer, Rebic; Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic.
