Sky: Milan’s probable XI for Juve clash – Pioli to decide between two options

By Isak Möller -

As confirmed by Italy’s Minister of Sport this evening, AC Milan will take on Juventus on Friday next week, hoping to advance to the Coppa Italia final. The first leg ended 1-1, meaning it will be a tough task away from home.

Theo Hernandez, Samu Castillejo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss the game due to suspension, though the Swede would have missed it anyway because of his injury. Of course, this is a big blow for Milan and Stefano Pioli.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by Milanlive.it, the manager has two options in his mind with regards to the starting eleven. The Rossoneri will either use the 4-3-2-1 or the 4-3-1-2, meaning the attack is the only doubt.

With the Christmas tree formation, Rafael Leao would be sent to the bench, making way for Lucas Paqueta. The latter would lose his spot, however, if Pioli decides to play with two men up front. Take a look at the two options below.

Milan (4-3-2-1): Donnarumma; Conti (Saelemaekers), Kjaer, Romagnoli, Calabria; Kessie, Bennacer, Bonaventura; Paqueta, Calhanoglu; Rebic.

Milan (4-3-1-2): Donnarumma; Conti (Saelemaekers), Kjaer, Romagnoli, Calabria; Kessie, Bennacer, Bonaventura; Calhanoglu; Leao, Rebic.
