According to reports from Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia, Roma are once again considering the possibility of signing Suso, one year after chasing the Spaniard’s services.
The winger could get limited playing time under the Rossoneri’s new manager, Giampaolo, next season due to the change of formation (to a 4-3-1-2). Therefore, Rome have turned their attention to the player once again.
For now, however, it remains just an idea which both clubs are aware of. To date, it’s not known if the negotiations will be set up solely with cash or with a technical counterpart, though news on the matter should surface if the interest materializes in something concrete.
Suso’s contract with the Rossoneri expires in 2022, and included a release clause of €40m, though it’s only valid to clubs from abroad. Just like last summer, Roma seem ready to make an attempt for the player, and some would say that their chances are higher this time out.
