Theo Hernandez has joined Rafael Leao in publishing a goodbye message after Paolo Maldini was officially let go by AC Milan yesterday.
Through a statement on their official website Milan announced Maldini’s departure and one is expected to follow for Massara too, leaving the Milan world in shock given we are less than 72 hours on from the end of the 2022-23 season.
Yesterday, La Repubblica reported that the Milan players were left unhappy with the decision and they even spoke of a dressing room ‘revolt’ regarding the news, given how close Maldini was to the squad.
Yacine Adli published a clear message on his Instagram, while Rafael Leao posted a cryptic yet telling video and then a more heartfelt thank you, with other players also posting tributes.
On his Instagram profile, Theo said: “Sad to say goodbye to someone who trusted in me and helped me become the player I am today. I wish you all the best and may life bring us back together,” he said.
