Tuttosport: Difficulty in offloading trio could block Milan’s incoming mercato

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s incoming market could be blocked for a while unless they are able to find a way to offload players not deemed crucial to the project.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) talks about how the Milan management are now looking to make some sales after their fifth signing of the summer was secured in Tijjani Reijnders, who will arrive next week for his medical.

Specifically, there are three players who – with their current refusal to leave – could leave Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada’s market strategies a little at a standstill.

One is Charles De Ketelaere who has various offers but at the present moment would like to have another chance with the Rossoneri to demonstrate he is better than he showed in his first year.

Then there is Divock Origi who will be difficult to offload because of the high salary he makes, and finally Ante Rebic doesn’t have lots of admirers.

  1. How can a club lost to an entity. Is there no clause in the contract regarding this matter, so the new signing could be made?

    1. The final say is lays with the player. If the player refuses to leave there’s not much you can do unless you find a suitor that the player is happy with. Winston Bogarde did the same thing to Chelsea, he just turned up to training refused any offers coming in for and sat on the bench earning his £40000 salary in the early 2000’s and just ran out his contract.

    2. Contract are powerful , you cannot just break the contract unless you pay full contract to origi & rebic . Good example are ozil ,he is highest paid player in arsenal at that time ,arsenal want to sell him and forbid him enter arsenal training ground but ozil choose to stay enjoy big salary 20m euro nett / season till his contract expire

      1. So it doesn’t matter whether players play bad or good? I guess old and new era contract’s still the same and running a club are very very tricky with so many factors in it.

  2. Acmilan it’s easy to take away those players let’s offer the three players out to a club and add cash to sign the players we need there no time other than waiting for the right offer
