Tuttosport: Ibrahimovic continues to work individually – eager to return for derby

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was forced to come off early in AC Milan’s draw against Juventus and at first, a serious injury was feared. However, the Swede suffered from Achilles inflammation and should be back for the derby.

Indeed, it would be a huge boost for Stefano Pioli to have the 40-year-old available for the big game. Milan dropped to third place following their draw against Juventus and a win would at least put them closer to Inter.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic trained individually during yesterday’s training session. He worked in the gym but he obviously wants to make it back for the derby at all costs.

The next few days will provide important signals regarding his condition and whether he will be available for the game. Given his past at Inter, it’s a special game for the No.11 and Milan need him to be the tough leader on the pitch.
